0.2-micron Filter Options

Our filter models serve two distinct needs:

Vented (pressure-balancing): the 0.2-micron membrane lets air pass while blocking bacteria and particles, preventing vacuum lock when drawing and spray-back when injecting. Ideal for compounding and multi-dose vial use.

Particle filtration: filters glass shards, rubber stopper coring and sediment, ideal when drawing from ampoules, older vials, or repeatedly punctured multi-dose vials.

How It Works

1. Connect your syringe to the luer port (ISO 80369-7, fits luer-lock and luer-slip).
2. Disinfect the vial stopper with an alcohol swab.
3. Attach the adapter onto the vial (for the T-Mix Hub system: white adapter on the diluent vial, purple adapter on the powder vial).
4. Position the vial above the syringe so gravity assists the flow, minimizing air bubbles.
5. Draw the liquid and proceed; no needle was used at any step.

What sterilization methods are available?
EtO (ethylene oxide) and Gamma sterilization are available. The method can be specified per your requirement, confirm your preference when requesting a quote.

What is the difference between the 13mm and 20mm vial adapters?
The 13mm adapter (18A196) fits 13mm vial necks; the 20mm adapter (18A195) fits 20mm vial necks. We also offer universal (13B002) and mini (18C034) versions with 0.2-micron filter.

Is the vial adapter really needle-free?
Yes. The adapter pierces the stopper mechanically, no needle is used to draw or mix, eliminating needle-stick injury risk during transfer.

Which syringes are compatible?
The luer port complies with ISO 80369-7 and fits both luer-lock and luer-slip syringes.

Do you offer a 0.2-micron filter version?
Yes, 13B002 (universal), 18C034 (mini), and 21C009 (QuikLock with filter). The 0.2-micron membrane balances vial pressure and blocks bacteria and particles.

Is each adapter individually sterile-packaged?
The finished packaged sterile version is individually packaged, sterilized in ISO 13485:2016 validated cleanrooms.
